is an artist from Baltimore, Maryland who specializes in watercolor painting. Beautiful homes, people, historic landmarks, and neighborhoods are the subjects that he draws inspiration from.

Because Michael was born in Baltimore and has lived in the Baltimore area most of his life, his art has become part of the Baltimore community. He also lived in Buras, Louisiana where the southern, cultural atmosphere has influenced his diverse repertoire.

Michael attended The Community College of Baltimore, where he earned a scholarship for art and completed an Associate of Arts Degree. He spent a year (1985-1986) at The Maryland Institute College of Art and eventually transferred to Towson State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. Also, he took additional college work at the University of Baltimore.

Michael's work has been seen over the years at The Pearl Gallery, The Art Gallery of Fells Point, City Hall's Rotunda Gallery, Strictly B'More, and The Fells Point Festival, to name a few. In 1993, Michael won in the Junior League of Baltimore design competition for The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops Concert. In 2005, he became an artist member of The Baltimore Watercolor Society. From then on, he has exhibited at several BWS shows. He has also received Honorable Mention awards at past painting exhibitions.

Michael has been influenced by many artists including John S. Sargent, Winslow Homer, John Whorf, Honore Daumiér, John Gannam, Alvaro Castagnet, Everett Shinn, David Levine, Reginald Marsh, Aaron Sopher, Frank Frazetta, Pruett Carter, Walter Biggs, James Montgomery Flagg, Charles Dana Gibson, Joseph Clement Coll, Noel Sickles, Bernie Fuchs, and Robert Fawcett.

Some of Michael's business associations have included The Harpers Ferry Historical Association, Long & Foster Realtors, Weber's Bar & Grill, Connor Environmental Services, and The Key Lime Café (St. Michaels, MD)
